Adult Programs
Rienzi offers a variety of programs for adults interested in expanding their knowledge and developing their artistic skills.
History Book Club
The two MFAH house museums—Bayou Bend and Rienzi—present discussions about books on life in America and Europe during the 18th and 19th centuries. Discussions are held bimonthly and are free to attend, with virtual and in-person options.
Studio Saturdays
These stand-alone classes provide an opportunity to foster your creativity through sketching at Rienzi, in the house and the gardens. Learn drawing fundamentals and techniques as you work with a variety of media in this two-hour, instructor-led session.
Drawing Salon
Practice your figure-drawing skills at this intimate experience in Rienzi’s ballroom. A teaching artist guides participants of all skill levels in sketching live models who are dressed in period costumes.
Yoga
Enjoy an introductory session of yoga with a practicing instructor in the beautiful surroundings of Rienzi’s gardens. After the yoga session, guests are invited to stay and explore Rienzi’s house and collection.
